Receiving Jesus as Your Savior

Choosing to receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior is the most important decision you will ever make!

1. Our problem
We are all sinful, and God is holy.

      Romans 3:10
“As it is written: “There is no one righteous, not even one;”

      Romans 3:23
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,”

Our problem of falling short of the glory of God has its consequences.

      Romans 6:23a
“For the wages of sin is death…”

But there is hope for us. The hope for salvation.

      Romans 6:23b
“…but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
2. God’s Solution
God’s solution for our problem is hope in the love of God expressed through Jesus Christ.

      Romans 5:8
“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
3. Our Response
Our response to this fallen position is to call out to Jesus.

      Romans 10:9-10
“If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.”

His intention is to save us.

      Romans 10:13
“For, ‘Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.’”
4. God’s Result
    Peace and justification.

      Romans 5:1-2
“Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand.”

Rejoice in the result of salvation.

      Romans 8:1
      “there is no condemnation”

Gifted with eternal life with God.

      Romans 6:23
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
5. Our Prayer
    Pray now out loud,

"Jesus, I confess that You are my Lord and Savior. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith in Your Word, I receive salvation now. Thank You for saving me!"
The very moment you committed your life to Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit instantly came into your spirit. Now that you are born again, there is a brand-new you!
